School of Education
For more than 100 years, Baylor University’s School of Education has remained true to its mission of educating ethical leaders who will improve society, whether through teaching in a traditional educational setting, or through their work within the corporate and professional world as social science researchers, behavioral analysts, learning and organizational change specialists and consultants.
Opportunities for Impact
Giving to the School of Education directly impacts students, allowing them to pursue their callings with guidance from dedicated faculty, fostering a culture that supports both spiritual growth and skill development. To further enhance the impact on our community and beyond, gifts to the School of Education will focus on resourcing the School's Centers and outreach opportunities, expanding scholarship funding, and supporting our dedicated faculty for research and instruction. Your generosity equips Baylor students as future leaders and shapes a brighter future together.
Amplify the impact of the School’s faculty and their research through resourcing for the Baylor Center for Developmental Disabilities, the Baylor Center for School Leadership and the Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development.
Grow and expand scholarship funding for students, both undergraduate and graduate. Provide faculty with a powerful recruiting tool to draw students to Baylor and retain those students as they advance. Help ensure students’ access to transformational learning opportunities through funding for study abroad, where calling meets a global perspective.
Provide flexible resources for faculty that enhance their teaching and amplify the impact and national visibility of their research. Support the School’s academic departments, investing in their infrastructure to provide transformational learning opportunities and a supportive environment where students can thrive.
Vision for the Future
Dean Shanna Hagan Burke, Ph.D., has a vision for the School focused on growing endowment resources for research and student support while strengthening its signature programs: Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, and Educational Psychology. These efforts underscore the School’s mission to support students, equip faculty, and create transformational impact through its Centers.
