School of Engineering and Computer Science
The School of Engineering and Computer Science prepares students to succeed in the workplace while helping them understand how they can use their skills to improve their communities and share their faith throughout the world.
We thank you for your interest in the mission and vision of Baylor University and invite you to make a gift to support student scholarships, faculty research and needs and priorities within the School of Engineering and Computer Science today.
BUV (Basic Utility Vehicle) Competition
Baylor BUV challenges engineering students to design and construct a basic utility vehicle that improves durability, increases fuel-efficiency and reduces costs. Each year, the students compete in the BUV Design Competition, sponsored by the Institute of Affordable Transportation.
Engineering and Computer Science Excellence Fund
Gifts help Baylor Engineering and Computer Science remain on the cutting edge by providing relevant technology, research opportunities, equipment for labs and student challenges and stipends for students to attend prestigious conferences.
Engineering Endowed Scholarship
Scholarships are the lifeblood of our program. To remain competitive with our peer institutions and recruit the most qualified students, we need the ability to offer scholarships. Every gift helps deserving students pursue their dreams of a Baylor education.
Engineers with a Mission
Since 2004, teams of engineering and computer science students have traveled to Kenya, Honduras, Rwanda and Haiti to design and provide sustainable solutions, such as solar power and heating, water filtration, windmills to pump water and hydro-turbine aeration, to these developing countries.
