Memorial Funds
There are many ways to honor loved ones at Baylor University. The following featured Memorial and Tribute Funds provide a lasting memory and celebrate members of the Baylor Family.

In Memory of Danny Bowlin
Danny Bowlin graduated summa cum laude from Baylor University with a BBA in accounting in 1969. While at Baylor, he was a member of Alpha Chi, Beta Gamma Sigma, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Beta Alpha Psi honor societies, and Sigma Tau Epsilon fraternity. Danny served on Baylor's Development Council, the Hankamer School of Business board of advisors, and the President’s Scholarship Initiative Steering Committee. Members of the 1845 Society, the Baylor Bear Foundation and Old Main Society, the Bowlins have supported Baylor and its students through numerous endowed scholarships throughout the University, honoring friends and family alike.

In Memory of Ken Starr
Judge Ken Starr served as Baylor’s 14th president from 2010 to 2016, adding the title of Chancellor in 2013. During his tenure, Judge Starr led Baylor University during a time of rapid growth and research productivity. He helmed a collaborative visioning process to develop the Pro Futuris strategic vision in 2012 that laid a foundation for the University’s path toward designation as a Tier 1 Research institution. His tenure was also marked by the President’s Scholarship Initiative, a $100 million fundraising campaign to increase endowment related to student scholarship support.

In Memory of Jim Bargainer
In 1979 Jim became the Director of The Institute of Engineering Science at Baylor University. He guided the program for the next 20 years including achieving accreditation of several disciplines including the first, the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Accrediting Board for Engineering in 1986. He became the first Dean of the School of Engineering and Computer Science in June of 1995. Gifts can be made to the Dr. James D. Bargainer, Jr. Endowed Scholarship to honor his memory.

In Memory of Jane Meyer
Baylor University mourns the loss of longtime friend and philanthropist, Jane Meyer. Honored as a Baylor Founder for her support of the university, Jane’s strong Christian faith informed her philanthropy, and as president of the Paul and Jane Meyer Family Foundation, she built upon a legacy of generosity toward Baylor’s students. The Meyers established the Paul J. Meyer Christian Leadership in Business Endowed Fund to promote a Christian perspective on business leadership. Gifts can be made to this fund to honor her memory.
