Diana R. Garland School of Social Work

The Diana R. Garland School of Social Work students have a unique opportunity to combine their faith and passion for service with sound theory and practice to better understand and appropriately engage the world around them.

Accelerate

The Diana R. Garland School of Social Work seeks to prepare social workers in a Christian context for worldwide service and leadership.

For this mission to succeed, the School of Social Work relies on the Baylor Family’s support of the Core Four — the foundational funding areas that strengthen this work: scholarships, faculty funding, flexible excellence resources and program resourcing.

Student Scholarships

Few gifts more directly impact the life of a Baylor University student than a scholarship. These gifts open doors for students and fuel the school’s growth, innovation and opportunities.

Faculty Funding

Giving to enhance research has the potential to make a positive worldwide impact and enables Baylor GSSW to attract and retain outstanding faculty members. Endowed chairs and professorships give the school dependable, enduring funding to grow its research capacity.

Dean’s Excellence Fund

The Dean’s Excellence Fund helps Baylor GSSW to anticipate and respond to the many needs that arise throughout an academic year. The fund’s flexible use format provides resources that can be used to quickly address emerging needs that are important to the success of Baylor GSSW and its students.

Program Resourcing

Giving to support student success programs, hands-on learning experiences, community outreach and service programs, and professional development activities provides flexible resources to meet needs as they arise.
