George W. Truett Theological Seminary
Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary exists to equip God-called men and women for gospel ministry in and alongside Christ's Church by the power of the Holy Spirit. Truett Seminary aspires to be a leader in the training of thoughtful, faithful Christian ministers for a 21st century Church and world.
Opportunities for Impact
Giving to Truett Seminary directly impacts the future of ministry by making theological education accessible and affordable for students called to serve. Your generosity strengthens our ability to support students, invest in faculty, and sustain the seminary’s mission for years to come. Each year, Truett awards more than $5.5 million in scholarships, equipping students to develop ministry skills, build community, and grow spiritually as they seek to know Christ and make Him known. While there is still more to do, we remain committed to building upon the remarkable momentum of the past decade, shaping a brighter future together.
Grow and expand scholarship funding for Truett students to attract and retain qualified individuals while providing them with access to a transformational education and ministry opportunities. These funds support scholarships, equipment needs, emergency assistance, conference travel, guest preaching, mentoring, study abroad experiences, and ministry immersion, equipping students for impactful service.
Support and resource faculty teaching, research, and professional development to strengthen further Truett Seminary’s gifted and committed faculty and in so doing increasingly establish the Seminary as a preeminent institution for theological education and ministry preparation. Generous faculty funding is vital for recruiting and retaining world-class faculty.
Provide flexible and responsive support and resourcing through the OneTruett Endowed Fund. Creating a caring environment for Truett Seminary’s faculty, staff, and students requires Dean Still to prepare for unanticipated needs. The OneTruett Endowed Fund provides fiscal resources to meet unforeseen needs, which may be caused by unexpected circumstances or emergency situations.
Vision for the Future
Dean Todd D. Still, Ph.D., seeks to build upon Truett Seminary’s strong tradition of excellence while ensuring it remains an accessible, affordable, and impactful destination for ministry preparation. To achieve this, he has identified strategic priorities to support students, resource faculty, and foster a caring community, all in alignment with the ongoing work and witness of Baylor’s Truett Seminary.
