WACO, Texas (July 19, 2013) - At its annual July retreat, the Baylor University Board of Regents voted to take significant steps forward on two substantial University projects that have been proposed: an alumni event center at Baylor Stadium and the new Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation, which would create a new home for the University's nationally-ranked Hankamer School of Business.

WACO, Texas (July 18, 2013) - Beth Allison Barr, Ph.D., Resident Scholar and assistant professor of European women's history in the department of history at Baylor, has received a $40,000 grant from the Louisville Institute to spend the 2013-2014 year studying the English Bible's influence on perceptions of the Christian woman.

WACO, Texas (July 10, 2013) - Following extensive discussion with the Waco Foundation and the City of West Long Term Recovery Committee, Baylor University announced today that $290,716 in total contributions to the Baylor West Relief Fund will be allocated to First Baptist Church of West to aid the remainder of its debris removal project. WACO, Texas (June 10, 2013) - Collin Tierney, a student at the University of California-Berkeley School of Law, took home the top prize at Baylor Law School's 2013 Top Gun National Mock Trial Competition on June 9. Along with being named Top Gun, Tierney received a prize of $10,000.

WACO, Texas (June 4, 2013) - Baylor University announced today that the University has received a $35 million gift from Paul L. Foster, BBA '79, of El Paso, which represents the largest gift from a living alumnus in Baylor's history. Foster's gift will support the University's $100 million campaign to construct a new 275,000-square foot facility - to be named the Paul L. Foster Campus for Business and Innovation - which will house Baylor's Hankamer School of Business. Mr. Allbritton, a Baylor alumnus and former Regent, passed away Dec. 12, 2012, just 17 days before his 88th birthday. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Elena, and two grandchildren.

AUSTIN, Texas (Aug. 24, 2012) - The Texas Access to Justice Foundation (TAJF) has announced grants to 11 nonprofit organizations - including Baylor Law School - that will help fund legal aid services for Texas veterans. With these grants, public interest and pro bono lawyers will be able to provide legal representation to low-income Texas veterans with basic civil legal problems such as denial of benefits or disability, family law matters arising from deployment and other issues that may arise due to a veteran's absence from home during military service.

Baylor University today announced a gift from the estate of Charles DeLancey establishing the Charles J. and Eleanor McLerran DeLancey Endowed Chair for the Dean of George W. Truett Theological Seminary.
